Custom Chic Shades is a small operation. The primary operator is me, Mary Alice Poulsen. I began sewing years ago when my husband moved me and our children to Montana. Long winters with small children helped me to master indoor activities, such as sewing. I am a registered nurse by trade, but like to be home with my crew to manage the household.
I began making window treatments in my own home, as well as for friends and family. I love decorating and I am obsessed with beautiful fabric. I like quality, but also understand how to make a window treatment beautiful on a budget. I also know the importance of function and practicality for family living, not just pretty pictures.
